HIS RECAP CONTAINS THE BAD BATCH SPOILERS.
Cid has a new mission for The Bad Batch that once again has them facing off against an overwhelming number of droids. Omega has a new weapon she’s not so great at using. And Wrecker … still has a headache. Uh-oh.
Over the next few months, we’ll follow up each new episode of The Bad Batch with a quick recap while you’re excitedly yelling in our Discord (don’t forget those spoiler tags!) and waiting for our weekly Bounty Hunt live stream.
While we’ll stick to recapping each episode here, both our Discord and Bounty Hunt will be perfect places to discuss reactions and predictions for what’s to come. THERE WILL BE SPOILERS BELOW.
Ready! Set! Recap.
As Omega struggles to get the hang of a new weapon - where did that light-bow come from and how do I get one? - Cid tells the Batch to head to Corellia to retrieve a tactical droid before the last of them are destroyed.
Once they arrive at the decommissioning facility, however, they quickly discover they aren’t the only ones who have been sent to retrieve the valuable data stored in the droid’s memory. Trace and Rafa - remember them? - are also on the hunt.
Another knock to the head brings Wrecker down, but this time’s different. There’s something not quite right with his inhibitor chip. Though it seems he might consider turning on his brothers, the moment passes - just in time for him to save the group from overwhelming blaster fire.
Despite her mission to extract the tactical droid, Trace does turn around to help save Omega from being trapped. There may be two sides to every conflict, but the Martez sisters seem to be in the interest of helping.
Activating the tactical droid, Tech manages to program it to command the droids in the facility to attack the police droids threatening the group. They barely escape with the data they need, but only one group gets to keep it.
Uncle Wrecker is in trouble. But for now he seems to be OK. We’ll keep a close watch over him, make sure he doesn’t hit his head again. Maybe add some extra padding to that helmet.
Omega has already improved her skills with the light-bow. Trace and Rafa leave with the data they were looking for -- and maybe a small spark of faith that there’s still good in the galaxy even in the Empire’s shadow.
As they take off, Rafa makes one final call to someone we don’t know … or do we? No major reason, just letting them know a bunch of “rogue clones” are on the loose.
Who is Rafa’s contact in the hologram? I’ll leave it to the Bounty Hunt crew to speculate.
