hough we’ve joked many times over that Star Wars books never seem to stop coming, it’s laughable because it’s true. Just when it seemed things were almost winding down for the season, the announcement of not one, not two, but FOUR new Star Wars books hit unexpectedly and delightfully this morning.
According to StarWars.com, four brand-new books featuring fan-favorite characters Obi-Wan Kenobi, Anakin Skywalker, Lando Calrissian, Luke Skywalker, and more are on the way - and the wait isn’t as unbearable as you might think.
Adam Christopher, who was originally writing a novel based on stories from The Mandalorian last year, will publish Shadow of the Sith, a novel about Luke and Lando set between Return of the Jedi and The Force Awakens.
Brotherhood by Mike Chen (From a Certain Point of View: The Empire Strikes Back) features more of Obi-Wan and Anakin’s mid-Clone Wars adventures.
Padawan by Kristen White (another FAVPOV-ESB contributor) features teenage Obi-Wan Kenobi struggling as a Padawan in the Jedi Order.
Finally, an anthology of stories called Stories of Jedi & Sith features 10 authors (some may be familiar names to previous Star Wars book readers) telling various stories about the ongoing struggle between light and dark.
All of these books are expected to release in 2022. But don’t worry. There’s an entire wave of High Republic books on the schedule while you wait for these new tales.
We’ll let you know as soon as pre-order links are live.
