alloween may seem like a lifetime away, but Disney+ has already announced its first-ever LEGO Star Wars spooky special. Since we got a LEGO Star Wars special for Life Day last year, it’s only fair we’d get a scary sequel of sorts.
That’s right. The next LEGO Star Wars game may be trapped in the World Between Worlds for an indefinite stretch of time, but the bricktastic small screen adventures of everyone’s favorite Star Wars characters in LEGO form just keep coming.
LEGO® Star Wars Terrifying Tales, available to stream this October, takes place after The Rise of Skywalker, when Poe Dameron and BB-8 are forced to make an emergency landing on Mustafar and wait for their ship to be repaired. What could possibly go wrong?
StarWars.com calls the special “a seasonal celebration of the villainous dark side of the Star Wars galaxy,” which really just means “a bunch of Sith decorating their castles for Halloween, probably.” Right? Just one scene of Vader trying to carve a pumpkin with his lightsaber. Please.
Characters set to appear in the special include Emperor Palpatine (somehow), Graballa the Hutt, and several new characters that are bound to bring all the laughs. Or all the terrors? Why not both?
David Shayne will write and executive produce the special, and Ken Cunningham is set to direct.
LEGO® Star Wars Terrifying Tales drops exclusively on Disney+ October 1, 2021.
