During this year’s San Diego Comic-Con, I expected all of the Star Wars announcements to be made at this evening’s Lucasfilm Publishing Panel, but I was SORELY mistaken!

Artwork for Journey to the Rise of Skywalker #1 - Allegiance


At Marvel’s Diamond Retailer Launch today, the company revealed the first piece of artwork to promote the upcoming limited comic series “Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker - Allegiance.” Even though the series was originally announced (alongside the rest of the Journey to The Rise of Skywalker line) back on May the 4th, fans had yet to see any key art for the upcoming story, and now that we have...I have so many more questions!


  • Is Rey fighting a Nexu in the corner?!
  • Who is the Mon Calamari alongside General Leia and Rose?
  • Is Poe’s new scarf actually the same as his mother’s, Shara Bey?
  • Does Chewie have a brand new Quarren friend?
  • Will Hux ever smile???


All of these questions and more promise to be answered later this fall. Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker – Allegiance #1 (of 4), written by Ethan Sacks with art by Luke Ross, will be released on October 9th.
