It was published by Del Rey books and made available on StarWars.com on March 18, 2009 as a free PDF. Including a twelve-page excerpt from Fate of the Jedi: Outcast, the first volume of Fate of the Jedi, it is twenty-three pages long. It was included in the paperback edition of The Old Republic: Deceived. The guide includes a brief synopsis of the state of the galaxy in 43 ABY and short biographies of important characters from the forthcoming series.
