Just over a week remains until we can all get our hands on the third book in Timothy Zahn's new Thrawn trilogy, and io9 has finally revealed what fan favorite, Eli Vanto, has been up to when we saw him last.

In the exclusive excerpt, Eli finds himself working alongside Chiss Admiral Ar'alani (another familiar face to longtime fans of Thrawn) for about a year before the events of Treason take place. We also see another mention of the Grysks from Thrawn: Alliances and by the end of the article, well...let's just say that we're intensely ready to crack open the full novel next week!
